Avatar Sinks the Titanic In just 39 days, James Cameron’s Avatar has surpassed James Cameron’s Titanic to become the highest grossing film of all time. As of this week, Avatar has achieved a worldwide total of $1.858 billion dollars. Although some may argue that inflated prices of 3-D and IMAX screenings have skewed its total, Avatar isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.
