First Sundance 2012 Bidding War Behn Zeitlin’s first feature film has ignited the very first bidding war of this year’s Sundance film fest. Sony Pictures Classics, Fox Searchlight, IFC Films, The Weinstein Company and Oscilloscope are all vying for Beasts of the Southern Wild. The film is about a 6-year old kid who lives with his father in Louisiana amidst an apocalyptic event that causes the sea to rise and thus thawing a giant prehistoric creature from the ice caps. Sounds awesome, right?
